The ACU Honors College recently completed the design and installation of the Willerton Honor Wall, which commemorates Dr. Chris Willerton’s contribution to the ACU Honors Program and to the Office of Major Scholarships. Dr. Willerton worked for the Department of Language and Literature for 44 years, from 1970 to 2014. He was the primary force behind ACU’s Honors Program becoming an Honors College. He also served as the director of the Honors Program for many years, guiding it to where it is today.

The Willerton Honor Wall showcases ACU’s Major Scholarship winners. ACU was named one of the 2018-2019 Top Producers of Fulbright U.S. Students, announced by the nation’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and published in The Chronicle of Higher Education.

Please join us for a short reception to honor Dr. Willerton’s many accomplishments and to celebrate ACU’s legacy of Major Scholarship winners. The reception will be held in the Honors commons at 4:00 p.m. on Friday, May 3 (first floor of Zellner Hall – enter through the north door). A special presentation will begin at 4:15 p.m.
