Mental Health First Aid Course

On Wednesday, May 22 The Betty Hardwick Center, in conjunction with ACU, will offer all interested employees the opportunity to earn a certificate in Mental Health First Aid. The course will be offered in the LYNAY Classroom from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. You must register to attend by Tuesday, May 21. Space is limited to the first 24 registrants.

Retirement Reception – Sandra Stevens

You are invited to attend a retirement reception to celebrate the 32 years of service that Sandra Stevens has given in Advancement Services.  The reception will be Tuesday, April 23, 1:30-3:30 p.m. with recognition at 2:30 p.m., in the Hunter Welcome Center lobby. Come enjoy an ice cream float before she “floats” away to retirement!

Google for Education Roadshow

The Innovation Foundry is hosting the Google for Education team on Friday, April 26 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. for a free product session in the MakerLab Classroom. This session aims to provide professional development around G Suite and augmented and virtual reality tools, with an emphasis on practical use cases in higher education. Lunch is provided for the first 30 to RSVP.

New ACU Hotel Discount Code

PageUp Training

Campus Wide- New Applicant Tracking System

Beginning Friday, June 1 we will be live in a new applicant tracking system, Page Up. The new system will handle all employment postings (faculty, staff and student) for the university. We are excited about bringing all of our employment opportunities into one system.

We’re encouraging all hiring managers, whether you hire faculty, staff or students, to sign up for a training session to learn about Page Up. We’re offering multiple sessions this week: Sign Up for Page Up. If you can’t make a session this week watch My ACU News for weekly options beginning next week.

Farewell Reception for Lee De Leon

Please join us for a farewell reception honoring Lee De Leon, Director of Athletics. There will be a come-and-go reception celebrating Lee’s service to ACU on Friday, June 8, from 1:30-3:00 p.m., in the Wildcat Stadium, Club Level. Dr. Schubert will make a presentation at 2:15 p.m. Lee has accepted a role as Executive Senior Associate Athletics Director/Assistant Vice President for Development at Purdue and will begin his new role on June 25. We hope you’ll take time to come by and visit with Lee and his family.

May’s Health Topic is Healthy Workspace.  Self-report each day you do one of the following: (1) take a conference call/meeting standing or walking, (2) eat lunch away from your desk, or (3) take 15 minutes to organize your desk.  Record at least 20 days of doing one of these activities to receive credit for this activity – all tracking for this activity will be done on the My Challenges page.  Record your participation online by May 31 to earn 1 Wellness Point!
