In an effort to spark interest among students and faculty and increase book checkouts, Brown Library Acquisitions is designed to be accessible, informative, and visually appealing. It offers previews of recently ordered books and short synopsis or quotes from the books once delivered, along with standing order titles and information on how to donate books from private collections. Here is the link to the blog.

Due to the upcoming holiday and bi-weekly payroll transition, it is extremely important that hourly employees (both staff and student) complete and submit timesheets for the 12/16 to 12/21 pay cycle prior to leaving for the Christmas holiday break. If you fail to submit the 12/16-12/21 timesheet, payment for these hours will be delayed. If you plan to be off through Jan. 4th, please go ahead and complete the timesheet for the 12/22 – 1/4/20 pay period once it becomes available. Please share this information with your student employees.

Staff are allowed to roll over up to 80 hours of vacation each calendar year. Beginning in 2020 the rollover date will move to January 4th. (Previously it was January 15 for nonexempt and January 19 for exempt). If you have more than 80 hours of vacation, you should plan to use the overage prior to January 4th so that you do not lose that time. Due to the short notice of this change, if this presents a problem for you, please email humanresources@acu.edu and we will be glad to manually adjust your leave.
