The contents of what most people remember as the home economics lab in the Sherrod Building are priced to sell on September 2nd and 4th at 9:00 -11:00 a.m. & 1:00-3:00 p.m. in the lab. The Sherrod Building now houses Communication and Sociology. The “Home Ec” lab is on the first floor, room 131, with the easiest access through the door facing the GATA Fountain mall area. The sale includes large quantities of kitchen gadgets, appliances, cookware and bake-ware including: flour sifters, rolling pins, measuring cups and spoons, cutting boards, egg beaters, strainers, knives, mixing bowls, casseroles, pots, pans, pressure cookers, canning supplies, canisters, dishes, stand mixers, electric frying pans, waffle makers and woks–crystal salad/dessert plates, stemware, drink ware, dessert dishes and serving pieces. Better crystal includes Fostoria American and Imperial Candlewick patterns. A large silver plate collection includes fancy trays, serving pieces, beautiful punch bowl with cups, flatware, gorgeous coffee urn, plus a few little pieces of sterling. Other items for sale include silverware trays, kitchen scales, microwaves, refrigerators, stove units, dryer, ironing machine, rolling food prep demonstration table, rolling metal lectern and more! These items are great to add to your own collection, set up a new kitchen or outfit rental property, campers or vacation homes. Some things are fairly new while others are vintage, but all are good, usable and steeped in ACU history! Cash and card will be accepted. Come ready to carry away your treasures!
