Benefits Tip: Onsite Biometric Screening

by   |  08.15.21  |  Announcements, Benefits, Events

If you are enrolled in ACU’s medical plan and want an easy way to earn your credit for receiving your biometric screening, please schedule an appointment for one of our on-site screenings.
Onsite Screening Dates and Times:

Abilene – Hunter Welcome Center, Reeves Conference Room, Aug. 31 and Sept. 1 7:30-11 a.m. The easiest way to schedule your appointment is through the Mobile Health Consumer app. On the left side of your app, under Resources, you will see “Biometric Screening.” Click “Schedule a Screening,” and pick a time that works best for you. You can also schedule your appointment through the Mobile Health Website. To download the Mobile Health Consumer app:

Click here to download on the App Store
Click here for Android App on Google play

Or visit the Mobile Health Website here. Please know that the biometric screening can replace the lab work you normally have completed with your annual exam. You will be able to view your results within the Mobile Health Consumer wellness app. We encourage you to discuss your results with your doctor during your annual exam. If you cannot attend one of the onsite screenings, whether you are a remote employee or due to a schedule conflict, there is a form on the eHealth website to download to complete your screening with your physician. Follow the steps to schedule a screening to access the form. Please review this document for additional information. If you have any trouble downloading the Mobile Health app or scheduling your screening, please contact HR at humanresources@acu.edu.

COVID Vaccine and Testing

by   |  08.14.21  |  Announcements, COVID-19

Because unvaccinated people in Abilene and elsewhere are proving to be the individuals most likely to be affected by the Delta variant, we strongly encourage COVID-19 vaccination. We realize that is your choice, and the university will not require it at this point (except for international travel), as we are shifting away from managing community care and asking individuals to be responsible for their wellness. That means vaccination is still the best way to protect yourself and others from COVID-19.

We deeply appreciate all who have notified the ACU Medical Clinic about their vaccination status. If you have not already done so, you can upload your card here. Our Coronavirus website is always the best place to check for the most recent information and protocols. The Weber Medical Clinic on campus has the Moderna and J&J vaccinations available, with walk-ins welcome.

At this time, vaccinated individuals will not have to quarantine if exposed. The CDC recommends they self-monitor, get tested within three to five days, and wear a mask for 14 days unless they test negative. Unvaccinated individuals must quarantine if exposed. To confidentially notify the Medical Clinic of your vaccination status, you can upload your vaccination card here.

We will continue to monitor CDC guidelines and take additional action or revise our protocols as necessary to ensure campus health and safety.

Face masks

by   |  08.14.21  |  Announcements, COVID-19

At this time, ACU does not require face masks to be worn. However, we encourage all members of our community to consider wearing face masks in indoor spaces on campus and strongly recommend they be worn by all unvaccinated persons. We will continue to monitor CDC guidelines and take additional action or revise our protocols as necessary to ensure campus health and safety. For the most up-to-date information and protocols, please visit the ACU Coronavirus website.
