Update to hot work safety program & procedures

by   |  10.18.21  |  Announcements

Operations involving hot work creates a significant risk of fire. Welding, soldering, grinding, brazing, or other types of hot work introduces a source of ignition into areas that may contain combustible material. Sparks or hot slag can come into contact with and ignite combustible materials during operations or hours after the hot work has been completed. Due to the risk associated with hot work, ACU has updated its hot work program & procedures for all staff, faculty, students, and contractors whose work is under the supervision of ACU. Questions may be directed to the Office of Institutional Compliance & Risk management at 325-674-2424 or risk@acu.edu.
