Big Country CASA is hosting an informational event for staff where you can find out more about what it means to be a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA). Drop by the library atrium between 9:00-10:30 AM on Friday, June 10th, to hear more about this opportunity to advocate for a child or sibling group. Don’t miss Movies on the Hill this Friday, June 3, when we screen Clifford the Big Red Dog (2021) at Wildcat Stadium. Sit in the stands or bring a blanket to lounge on the field and enjoy this family film on the stadium’s Wessel Scoreboard. Concession stands will be open, too, so you can grab a snack! Wednesday June 1 at 7:00 a.m. ACU IT will update the security certificate for the ACUsecure wireless network. You will be prompted to trust the new certificate in order to continue using ACUsecure. It may be necessary to reconnect to the network. If you have any trouble connecting to the network, please have your device forget the network and then reconnect to it. Starting Thursday June 2, ACU IT will deploy Microsoft Defender Antivirus to ACU issued computers. In some cases, you may see a pop-up informing you of the installation or the removal of our previous software, Sophos. No action is required; you may simply close the notification. Did you know ACU has an adoption assistance program? ACU maintains the Adoption Assistance Plan to provide adoption assistance benefits to eligible employees in an effort to defray the cost of adoption. Full-time employees are eligible for this benefit after completing six months of employment. For more information on the Adoption Assistance Plan click here.
