TxDOT Travel Survey

by   |  10.03.22  |  Announcements

On October 6, 2022, Abilene Christian University is participating in a Workplace Travel Survey sponsored by the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). The University has authorized a team of interviewers to be on campus to conduct this voluntary survey that collects travel data and information used to inform future transportation planning projects and priorities in the Abilene region. As part of this study, TxDOT representatives will also place electronic traffic counters around campus at approximately 5:30 a.m. (CST). While on the ACU campus, interviewers will wear blue vests and ID lanyards and present the survey via paper or electronic tablet. Participation in the survey – which will take about 2-3 minutes – is VOLUNTARY for students, faculty, staff, and visitors to campus. The survey questions will ask about origin/destination, travel mode, and demographic information. The results from this survey should help both TxDOT and the University better understand traffic habits around campus and the city. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact ACU Risk Management at 325-674-6142 or risk@acu.edu.
