CSD Graduate Program in Speech Pathology – Public Meeting for Re-Accreditation

This is an open invitation to anyone (faculty, administrators, students, clients, community, professionals and the general public) who would like to provide comment on the ACU CSD graduate -MS-SLP- program – or institution. The meeting will take place Monday, March 6, 4:30 – 5:15 in the Duncum Center Classroom (free parking). A copy of the Standards for Accreditation and/or the CAA’s Policy on Public Comment may be obtained by contacting the Accreditation Office at ASHA, 2200 Research Blvd., #310, Rockville, MD, 20850, calling ASHA’s Action Center at 1-800-498-2071, or accessing the documents online.

International Food Fest

Join us for ISA’s annual International Food Festival on Saturday, March 4th at 6pm at the Hunter Welcome Center. Tickets will be available for purchase online or at the campus center, Monday-Friday between 11AM-1PM from 02/20 – 03/03. Seats are limited and tickets will not be sold on the day of the event, so please be sure to purchase your tickets ahead of time.

ACU IT Spring Computer Auction

ACU IT is hosting its next surplus computer auction on April 15 in Hart Auditorium. The auction begins at 1:00, but doors open for bidder registration at 11:00. The Promise of Singing – ACU Choral Alumni Event

All faculty and staff are invited to participate in The Promise of Singing, a celebration of ACU’s choral heritage – April 21-23, 2023. Come sing with a chorus of alumni, spouses, and friends as we wrap-up the 90th Anniversary year of the ACU A Cappella Chorus. Former conductors of the A Cappella, Dr. Jack Boyd, Dr. Paul Piersall, and Dr. Michael Scarbrough will lead a multigenerational ensemble of alumni, friends, and current students. Special Performance: Fire from Heaven

ACU Theatre Department and the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs will host a production of Fire from Heaven: Michael Faraday and the Dawn of the Electrical Age in the Culp Theatre at the Williams Performing Arts Center, 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27. This thought-provoking one-man play looks at the life and work of a scientist whose insights into electromagnetism changed technology forever and whose spiritual beliefs are closely aligned with those of Restoration Movement founders Thomas and Alexander Campbell. The performance is sponsored by the John Templeton Foundation as part of the project, “Supporting Structures: Innovative Partnerships to Enhance Bench Science at CCCU (Council for Christian Colleges and Universities) Member Institutions.”

Free Group Exercise Classes

International Travel Approval/Notification Policy

The University has a vast array of resources for supporting those leading and organizing international travel. Faculty and staff are encouraged to contact the Office of Institutional Compliance and Risk Management (risk@acu.edu) to familiarize themselves with the University’s resources, along with the International Travel Policy, the International Travel Approval/Notification Form, and the International Travel Checklist. The approval/notification form must be submitted to the Office of Institutional Compliance and Risk Management at least two weeks before trip departure and before any travel expenses are incurred.
