Benefits Tip: Onsite Biometric Screening

ACU is bringing eHealth Screenings back on campus for your convenience! Complete your complimentary biometric screening to help earn points toward your 2023 wellness credit.

All employees and spouses enrolled in ACU’s medical plan for 2023 must complete a biometric screening & annual physical with their physician by 9/30/23 to avoid the wellness premium surcharge in 2024. ***Please Note*** You do not need to schedule an appointment if you had a biometric screening at our last onsite event in April.

Onsite Screening Dates and Times:

Hunter Welcome Center

September 13th & 14th : 7:30-12:00pm

 

We will no longer be using Mobile Health. You must visit the link provided below to register for your screening.

REMEMBER: You must fast (no food) for 9 hours before your appointment. Please drink plenty of water. Black coffee is permitted. Continue to take any prescription medications. If you have diabetes, please consult your physician before fasting.

If you cannot attend one of the onsite screenings, whether you are a remote employee or due to a schedule conflict, there is a form on the eHealth website to download for you to complete your screening with your physician. You can follow the steps to schedule a screening to access the form. 

 

To earn your 2024 Wellness Discount, employees and spouses enrolled in an ACU medical plan must complete an annual exam and biometric screening by September 30, 2023.

Labor Day

Please note that the university has added Labor Day as a holiday, so the campus will be closed for business and classes will not meet on Monday, September 4, 2023.  Student Life has many activities planned for students for the three-day Labor Day weekend.

Opening Assembly and Monday Chapel

Opening Assembly, including the annual Parade of Flags, will be Monday, August 28, at 11 a.m. in Moody Coliseum. This year’s speaker is Hon. Shelton Gibbs IV (’02), district judge for the 422nd District Court in Texas. Judge Gibbs was named Young Alumnus of the Year in 2021 and is a member of the ACU Board of Trustees. All faculty are invited to participate in the celebration by marching in regalia and sitting in the faculty section. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Also, please make plans to close offices so that all faculty and staff can attend Monday Chapel in Moody Coliseum each week during the academic year.

If you have not done so already, it’s time to complete the ACS and ACU Tuition Benefit Application for the 2023-2024 school year. If you have children who will be attending ACS or ACU in the fall, please complete the application. You can find more information on the tuition benefit here.

Keynote Address: Dr. John Delony

The Office of the Provost invites all university employees to join us Wednesday, August 23 at 10:15 a.m. in Boone Family Theatre for a keynote address from Dr. John Delony, bestselling author and host of The Dr. John Delony Show. John has two PhDs and more than two decades of experience in counseling, crisis response and higher education. He is the author of bestselling books Own Your Past, Change Your Future and Redefining Anxiety, as well as his forthcoming book Building a Non-Anxious Life, which will be released in October.

Women for ACU Fall Brunch

Women for ACU is kicking off the school year with a Fall Brunch! Join us at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 2, in the Hunter Welcome Center for brunch, a discussion of WACU activities for the fall, an opportunity to meet our latest scholarship recipients, and an update on the ACU Museum and the wonderful opportunities it will provide. There is no charge to attend – bring a friend for good food and fellowship! RSVP online by Sept. 1.

IT Support Center SMS Texting Support

We are excited to announce that you can now contact the IT Support Center via SMS text messaging! In addition to being able to call us at 325-674-5555, you can now send that same number a text message to opt in to text-based support. One of our agents will respond as soon as we are able. This is a great option for quick questions or simple requests when you don’t have time for a phone call. As a reminder, here’s how you can contact the IT Support Center:

New myACU App Now Available

This new native application puts all of your myACU resources in an easy to use mobile app. Search for quicklinks, check account balances, manage your courses, and more.
