As we pause our Caregiver Support Group for the summer months, we are excited to offer a monthly educational series focused on topics relevant to aging and caregiving. You can find all the information on the Pruett Gerontology Center website. Wednesday, May 13, 11:30 AM – 1:00 PM Plan Ahead, Stress Less: Advance Directives Without the Overwhelm. What is a Directive to a Physician? A Medical Power of Attorney? Join us as we break down these important documents in an easy-to-understand, relevant way for real-life decisions. We’ll talk through what each form means, when it’s used, and how it helps ensure your wishes are honored. Forms will be provided, along with guidance on how to begin these conversations with your family and healthcare providers.

A consultant from TIAA will be offering individual counseling sessions on campus to discuss your personal financial situation and retirement investments on May 12th and 13th. The Graduate School of Theology and the wider ACU community celebrate Dr. Tim Sensing’s extraordinary career, honoring his lasting contributions to theological education and his faithful service to the academy, the church, and the kingdom of God. Please join us for a retirement reception in honor of Dr. Sensing on Thursday, August 27, 2026, from 11:00am – 12:00pm in the lower rotunda of the CBS Building, with a presentation beginning at 11:15am. Light refreshments will be served. We are also pleased to share that Dr. Sensing will continue his involvement with the GST as a Scholar-in-Residence.

Please join us on Wednesday, April 29th, for Denim Day. We request that on this day, you wear denim in solidarity for survivors of sexual violence. Denim Day represents a protest against victim-blaming and sexual violence.

Join us this week on April 28 on the campus mall for the ACU Gives Backyard Bash from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. for hot dogs, dirty sodas, cookies, coffee, and more. All faculty, staff, and students are invited to attend. Items are limited, so get there early! ACU Gives is April 28-29. Join us for the inaugural ACU Innovation Celebration, an event recognizing the creativity, patents, discoveries, and entrepreneurial achievements of Abilene Christian University faculty, staff, and students. The celebration will feature an engaging innovation panel discussion of faculty, students, and community members, followed by a recognition and networking reception.
