You are invited to nominate students for the May 2025 Honor Awards! Click on this link to view a list of the eligible graduating seniors in a drop-down menu. Each nomination should include a paragraph or more describing the student’s personal attributes or contributions that correspond to the award. Your input will assist the Student Life committee in making decisions with respect to the final recipients for Honor Man or Honor Woman, Trustees Award, B Sherrod Scholarship and Dean Adams Achievement Award. Nominations are due by Noon. on Friday, April 11, 2025.

Plan to join your colleagues for university updates this week on Wednesday, March 19, at noon or 4 p.m. We will meet virtually at noon so faculty and staff who work remotely or are traveling will have the opportunity to participate in the meeting. Remote employees can access the virtual meeting here. At 4 p.m. we will meet in person in the Hunter Welcome Center’s McCaleb Conference Center.
Join Alpha for a Disability Etiquette Training Session! Understanding disability etiquette is key to fostering an inclusive and respectful environment. This interactive training session is open to both faculty and staff and will cover best practices for communicating and working with individuals with disabilities, helping to create a more accessible and welcoming space for all.

It is election time for the 2026-28 ACU Staff Senate! We are welcoming nominations as well as self-nominations. ACU’s new Public Demonstration Policy can be accessed here. This policy provides guidelines for organizing demonstrations to ensure they align with the institution’s mission, maintain campus safety, and comply with legal requirements. ACU is excited to offer Medicare 101 Sessions to our employees again this year! We are hosting two onsite sessions with a Medicare expert, Tamela Southan, who will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding Medicare, how it works, how Medicare and ACU insurance work together, and how they don’t. All employees who attend one of the sessions will also get a complimentary one-on-one session with Tamela to answer any follow-up questions you may have. Please feel free to invite your spouse to this meeting as well.
Session 1: Wednesday, 3/19, 11 a.m.-12 a.m.
Session 2: Wednesday, 3/19, 2 p.m.-3 p.m.
Both sessions will be held in the Reeves Conference room 284 in the Hunter Welcome Center. The information shared in these meetings can be made available for those unable to attend.
ACU IT is hosting its next surplus computer auction on Saturday, April 5, in Hart Auditorium. The auction begins at 1:00 p.m., but doors open for bidder registration at 11:00 a.m. Follow our Facebook page for additional details. We’ll have numerus computers, Dells and Macs, desktops and laptops. We hope to see you there.
Staff and Faculty are invited to attend a come and go retirement reception in honor of Colleen Blasingame on Thursday, March 27th from 3:30-5:00pm in the Lower Rotunda of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building. There will be a brief presentation at 4:15pm.
