Spring Semester Cashier Hours

Beginning January 1st, 2024, the Finance Office Cashier will change their days of operation to Mondays & Wednesdays of each week. Hours of availability will remain the same from 1:00pm to 4:00pm.

Honors Colloquium Proposals

The Honors College cordially invites submissions of proposals from all ACU faculty members for Honors Colloquia for the 2024-2025 academic year. These colloquia serve as unique opportunities for ACU professors to share their expertise within their research specializations and other areas of interest while engaging with the University’s top undergraduate students in an intimate seminar setting. We encourage you to submit your proposal if you have a compelling colloquium idea. The deadline for submissions is January 12th, with priority given to proposals received by December 31st. SRWC Extended Christmas Closure

The SRWC will have an extended Christmas Holiday closure this year. We will be closed Saturday, Dec. 23 – Sunday, Jan. 7 to make repairs and refinish all gym, studio and racquetball floors. This process is only necessary every 10-12 years. Thank you for your patience as we work to make these improvements. Please see the SRWC Operating Hours Calendar for all holiday hours.

Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Festival Abstract Submissions

Applications and abstracts for the 2024 Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Festival at Abilene Christian University are due on Monday, February 5, 2024 by 5 p.m. The ACU Undergraduate Research, Creativity, and Innovation Festival is scheduled for Tuesday, April 16, 2024 in the Hunter Welcome Center. Christmas Vespers

Join the ACU Music Department for their yearly Christmas Vespers, “The Lord is with Thee,” a beautiful evening of liturgy, scripture, poetry, and music for the season. The event will be held at the First Baptist Church of Abilene, Sunday, December 10 at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free.

KACU’s Live Radio Play: It’s A Wonderful Life

If you’ve never seen a LIVE radio drama, now is your chance! KACU-FM is proud to present “It’s a Wonderful Life” a radio play, LIVE at the Historic Paramount Theatre. Bring your family and experience a joyful evening of Christmas spirit. Some Familiar faces around town and voices of KACU are ready to transport you to Bedford Falls and the story of George Bailey. Farewell Reception for Dr. Lynette Austin

Staff and Faculty are invited to a farewell reception for Dr. Lynette Austin, Department Chair of Communication Sciences and Disorders on Friday, December 8 from 2:00 – 4:00pm in the Adams Center classroom. Lynette has been a vital part of the CSD department for 15 years. Come by and wish her well in her move to Nashville to be the Dean of the College of Health Services at Lipscomb University.

Biology Seminar: “Cancer Metabolism”

Dr. Dario Altieri, a distinguished cancer researcher and Chief Executive/Scientific Officer of the Wistar Institute in Philadelphia, will be conducting a chalk talk titled “Cancer Metabolism” at 4 pm on Thursday, December 7th, at Walling Lecture Hall (HAL Research Center Room 101). His extensive expertise in cancer drug discovery and significant contributions to understanding tumor cell survival and metastasis make this lecture a valuable opportunity for all interested.
