Medicare 101 Sessions

ACU is excited to offer Medicare 101 Sessions to our employees again this year! We are hosting two onsite sessions with a Medicare expert, Tamela Southan, who will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding Medicare, how it works, how Medicare and ACU insurance work together, and how they don’t. All employees who attend one of the sessions will also get a complimentary one-on-one session with Tamela to answer any follow-up questions you may have. Please feel free to invite your spouse to this meeting as well.

 Session 1: Thursday, 10/19, 11 a.m.-12 a.m.

 Session 2: Thursday, 10/19, 2 p.m.-3 p.m.

Both sessions will be held in the LYNAY meeting room 211 in the Hunter Welcome Center.

The information shared in these meetings can be made available for those unable to attend.

Benefits Tip: Benefits Open Enrollment

All benefits-eligible employees will need to complete their benefits open enrollment for 2024 the week of November 6th – 10th. HR staff members will be available that week in the computer lab on the top floor of the Brown Library, Monday-Thursday 8:00-5:00.

All employees enrolled in ACU benefits are encouraged to attend an informational benefits meeting. These meetings will be scheduled during the week of October 23rd and 30th. Be on the lookout for additional details.

Benefits Tip: Wellness Credits

We are no longer using the mobile health app. You can use the ehealth screenings website to view previous biometric screenings or download the biometric screening form if needed. Click here for instructions on how to do so. To see if you have received credit for your wellness exam, you can log in to your Imagine360 account to view your EOB for your wellness visit, as long as it is coded as a preventative exam, you will receive credit. If you have any questions please reach out to Human Resources at humanresources@acu.edu.

Benefits Tip: TIAA Consultant on Campus

A consultant from TIAA will be offering individual counseling sessions on campus to discuss your personal financial situation and retirement investments on September 28 and 29 in the Brown Library Idea Room 3. You can register for an appointment online. Appointments fill up fast and are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Register here.

Benefits Tip: Onsite Biometric Screening

ACU is bringing eHealth Screenings back on campus for your convenience! Complete your complimentary biometric screening to help earn points toward your 2023 wellness credit.

All employees and spouses enrolled in ACU’s medical plan for 2023 must complete a biometric screening & annual physical with their physician by 9/30/23 to avoid the wellness premium surcharge in 2024. ***Please Note*** You do not need to schedule an appointment if you had a biometric screening at our last onsite event in April.

Onsite Screening Dates and Times:

September 13th & 14th : 7:30-12:00pm

 

We will no longer be using Mobile Health. You must visit the link provided below to register for your screening.

REMEMBER: You must fast (no food) for 9 hours before your appointment. Please drink plenty of water. Black coffee is permitted. Continue to take any prescription medications. If you have diabetes, please consult your physician before fasting.

If you cannot attend one of the onsite screenings, whether you are a remote employee or due to a schedule conflict, there is a form on the eHealth website to download for you to complete your screening with your physician. You can follow the steps to schedule a screening to access the form. 

 

To earn your 2024 Wellness Discount, employees and spouses enrolled in an ACU medical plan must complete an annual exam and biometric screening by September 30, 2023.

Labor Day

Please note that the university has added Labor Day as a holiday, so the campus will be closed for business and classes will not meet on Monday, September 4, 2023.  Student Life has many activities planned for students for the three-day Labor Day weekend.

REMINDER: To earn the wellness credit in 2024, you must complete (as well as your spouse if they are on your plan) the following two activities by Sept. 30, 2023:

1. Receive an annual exam with your physician

With the busy traveling time among us, please keep in mind that ACU has a telemedicine option available. UCM telemedicine is available for all ACU faculty and staff. Getting sick is never convenient, and finding time to get to a doctor can be hard. UCM allows you to access a doctor from your home, office or anywhere — 24/7/365 — and is a convenient and cost-effective way to receive health care for common conditions. UCM’s licensed providers can diagnose any non-emergency medical condition with a short phone visit or secure video visit.
