The Benefits subcommittee of ACU’s Staff Senate is interested in getting your thoughts on a potential new benefit for staff members. Please take a minute to fill out this short (five question!) survey.

If you received treatment at a Hendrick facility during January 2016, you need to file a claim as soon as possible so that you can get credit towards your deductible. Claim forms can be found on GPA’s website under the “Forms & Resources” tab.

We understand that many of you have questions about your benefits and we are committed to getting you the information you need. You can use this FAQ link to view responses to common questions. We are continuing to update this document with additional information. We are also hosting Informational Sessions in the Campus Center Living Room. Join us Tuesday, February 9th  at 12:00 p.m.

The Office of Human Resources needs your feedback to measure your experience at medical facilities. Your responses will help determine if your needs are being met by the 2016 plan design. Please complete this survey each time you or a family member receives treatment at a medical facility.

Please take a minute to look at your paycheck in myACU Banner so that you are aware of your earnings and deductions. 2016 Benefit Deductions will be seen for the first time on the 1/15 and 2/1 pay dates. It’s really important that you verify your deductions were set up as you expected. Failure to notify HR of a discrepancy in a timely manner could result in our inability to process a change. If you need help locating your pay stub or have a question, please contact HR at x2359 or humanresources@acu.edu

As the new benefit year begins the following steps should be taken for any non-emergency services. It is imperative for you to follow these steps if you are seeking treatment at a Hendrick facility. Failure to follow this process may negatively impact your reimbursement for out of pocket expenses.

For any test, lab work, radiology services, etc. regardless of the location:

1. Call Nurse Navigator at 1.800.843.6705 (select option 1) or email at nursenavigator@gpatpa.com

2. Nurse Navigator will be able to provide you with your options on where you can seek the treatment you have been prescribed. There are several local options for labs and radiology as well as other routine tests.

3. If you find yourself in a situation where you feel Hendrick is your only or best option, please work closely with Nurse Navigator to understand what your financial responsibility will be.

You can access your ID Card by registering on the GPA website or downloading and registering on the GPA app. If you have not received your new health and Rx card for 2016, please email edunson@holmesmurphy.com. Be sure to show your new card at all medical appointments and when filling prescriptions. 

If you have remaining funds in your 2015 flexible spending account, AND you will be on the HRA plan in 2016, you may use your Discovery Benefits card for claims incurred through 3/15/2016.

Effective January 1, 2016 employees who reside in Abilene will be utilizing the PHCS MutliPlan PPO for providers. To see if your doctor is in the network, go to http://www.phcs.com and select the PHCS Practitioner Only logo. From there you can see if your doctor is in network. If your doctor does not show as in network, please call their office to see if they accept PHCS.
