Benefits Tip: True Rx App update

We want to inform you of an important update that will impact the way you log into the True Rx Health Strategists member app. Employees will be required to add additional information when logging into the platform. Members will be asked to input “truerx” in the field Enter Your Plan’s Website. Please refer to the attached updated flyer for step-by-step instructions on how to log in.

Benefits Tip: TIAA Consultant on Campus

A consultant from TIAA will be offering individual counseling sessions on campus to discuss your personal financial situation and retirement investments on January 29 and 30th. You can register for an appointment online. Appointments fill up fast and are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Register here.

Benefits Tip: New Year, New Deductions

Please take a minute to look at your pay stub in myACU Banner so that you are aware of your earnings and deductions. Your elections from open enrollment for your 2025 benefit deductions was seen for the first time on the Jan 3rd paycheck. It’s important that you verify your deductions were set up as you expected. Failure to notify HR of a discrepancy in a timely manner could result in our inability to process a change. If you need help locating your pay stub or have a question, please contact HR at x2359 or humanresources@acu.edu.

Benefits Tip: Telemedicine-Teledoc

With the busy traveling time among us, please keep in mind that ACU has a telemedicine option available. ACU partners with Teladoc to provide telemedicine to all employees and dependents enrolled on the medical plan. Getting sick is never convenient, but telemedicine provides more convenient, quicker access to a medical professional for common conditions. Teladoc allows members to access a doctor from your home, office, or anywhere – 24/7/365. To access Teladoc, you will visit Teladoc.com or the Teladoc app.

Q: I don’t use ACU’s health insurance. Do I still need to do open enrollment?

A: Even if you are not on ACU’s health insurance plan, you must still go through the enrollment process. There are other benefits, like the ACU-paid life insurance coverage, that you will want to confirm. 

Q: I work remotely. How can I get assistance? 

A: Go ahead and schedule an appointment time. Then, email humanresources@acu.edu  to let us know you need your appointment via Zoom. We will send you a link before your appointment time. 

Q: I see a wellness surcharge on my health premiums, but I don’t think this is right. How do I get that fixed?

A: You need to go ahead and complete your enrollment. Email humanresources@acu.edu to let us know you believe there is a wellness error. We will verify your wellness credit before deductions in January.

2025 Benefits Open Enrollment

All Benefits Eligible Employees,

This week, November 4th – 8th, all full, reduced, and half-time faculty and staff will need to re-elect their benefits for 2025.

Read the 2025 Benefits Enrollment Guide Book to understand your options during Open Enrollment and the various services available throughout the year.  You can also view the slide presentation from the Open Enrollment meetings here.

Although you can enroll anytime during the week of November 4th, those who enroll early will be entered in drawings for cash prizes. Take a second to schedule a time on your calendar to complete your Open Enrollment.

HR Staff will be in the computer lab on the top floor of the Brown Library, Monday – Wednesday, 8:00-5:00, to assist you. You can schedule an appointment by visiting this calendar or simply come by for assistance.

Benefits Open Enrollment for 2025

All full, reduced, and half-time employees will need to participate in Open Enrollment the week of November 4th – 8th.

Please plan to attend an informational session as there will be changes to our benefits for 2025.  Sessions will be held in either the Hardin Administration Building in classroom 100 (ADM 100) or the Brown Library Core Classroom (LIB 272).

During the week of Benefits Open Enrollment, HR will be in the Computer Lab on the 3rd Floor of the Library Monday-Wednesday and in the HR Office Thursday-Friday for those who would like help with their enrollment.  You can schedule an appointment by visiting the Benefits Enrollment Calendar or simply come by for assistance.  We can also schedule your appointment via Zoom if needed.  For Zoom, please schedule your appointment and email us letting us know you would like to meet via Zoom and we will create a zoom link within your appointment.

As a reminder, all benefits-eligible employees must go through the enrollment process to have benefits next year.

Benefits Tip: Onsite Biometric Screening

ACU is bringing eHealth Screenings back on campus for your convenience! Complete your complimentary biometric screening to help earn points toward your 2026 wellness credit. All employees and spouses enrolled in ACU’s medical plan for 2026 must complete a biometric screening & annual physical with their physician by 07/31/2025 to avoid the wellness premium surcharge in 2026.

Onsite Screening Dates and Times: Hunter Welcome Center, October 23rd and 24th, 7:30-12:00 p.m. To register for your screening, visit this link. The screening key is HMA242.

REMEMBER: You must fast (no food) for 9 hours before your appointment. Please drink plenty of water. Black coffee is permitted. Continue to take any prescription medications. If you have diabetes, please consult your physician before fasting.

If you cannot attend one of the onsite screenings, whether you are a remote employee or due to a schedule conflict, you can download a form on the eHealth website to complete your screening with your physician.
