Dr. Charlie Pruett

Pruett Gerontology Center Director and Associate Professor Dr. Charlie Pruett will present a conference session titled “You talk about age spots, well, let me show you mine:” Teaching an Introduction to Gerontology Course in an Intergenerational Setting for the Association for Gerontology in Higher Education’s upcoming 40th Annual Meeting and Educational Leadership Conference, taking place in Denver, Colorado from February 27 – March 2, 2014.

Dr. Pruett earned his PhD in sociology from the University of North Texas.  His areas of research include spirituality and aging, social support in later life, and adult development in later life.

Dr. Pruett will join colleagues Dr. Tom Winter, Director of the School of Social Work and Dr. Wayne Paris, MSSW Program Director and Associate Professor, School of Social Workfor a collaborative presentation titled, “Gerontology Center and Social Work Program Collaboration: One University’s Example” also at the AGHE conference in Denver.
