Today was a very special day at the Pruett Gerontology Center. Dr. Pruett hosted Texas State Representative Susan King, Chris Kyker, Robyn Wertheim and several students to visit about issues affecting adults over age 65 years. Chris Kyker gave an update on special legislation initiatives and the important work of the Texas Silver-Haired Legislature. Special thanks to Representative King and our student focus group members, Ashley Bryan and Laura Baxter who presented their recent research and Kholo Theledi, Avia Gray, Dylan Brugman, Sony Emmanuel, Mallory Wilkins, and Julie Reeger.
