The holidays are a time of giving and helping others. Sometimes it is hard to have excitement especially if we are lonely and sad. The best part about Christmas is that it helps you get outdoors and warm your heart.

Here is a list of activities to help get in the Christmas spirit:

  • Listen to your favorite songs, even from when you were a child. Listen to the classics such as “White Christmas,” and “Holly Jolly Christmas.” 
  • Watch Christmas movies and drink hot chocolate while watching.
  • Go shopping for presents that you can give to others.
  • Drive around and look at Christmas lights.
  • Invite friends over and have a white elephant gift exchange party.
  • Throw a holiday party with your close friends and family.
  • Decorate the house in Christmas decorations.
  • Put up the Christmas tree! Although it is a pain to put up, it is worth it when you are finished decorating. The sooner you put it up, the longer you have to enjoy it.
  • Do an act of service. Christmas is about giving to others and nothing can get you in the Christmas spirit more than helping others.
