How do churchgoers feel about resuming in-person worship gatherings during a pandemic? In a four part series posted on Mosaic, a blog from the Siburt Institute for Church Ministry, we get to learn about the results a national survey of churchgoers conducted by Dr. Suzie Macaluso, Director of the Pruett Gerontology Center. The first part 1 of this series provided an overview of the findings from a national survey of churchgoers, part 2 focused on the strategies being used in the churches, part 3 looked at the trends around anxiety about returning to church, and in the final installment,  Dr. Macaluso shared results from several open-ended questions about concerns that churchgoers have about returning to in-person worship services. Be on the lookout for a follow-up survey coming at the end of September that will provide an update now that many congregations have transitioned back to in-person worship services.
