The Walk to End Alzheimer’s annual event is here! Come and join us in support of those who are struggling with Alzheimer’s or Dementia, those who have lost a loved one to the diseases, individuals that currently care for someone with the diseases, and/or to help raise awareness, further research, and support! Safety protocols will be in effect, such as, physical distancing, requirement of masks, contactless registration, hand sanitizing stations, and more.
When:
This Saturday, October 9th, 2021
Scheduled events:
The walking route will open at 9 am. → The Flower Ceremony will begin at 9:30 a.m. → The walking route will close at 10:30 a.m.
Where will the walk take place:
Grover Nelson Park 2070 Zoo Lane Abilene, TX 79602
Length of walk:
Roughly 2 miles (2 laps)
- Blue represents someone living with Alzheimer’s or another dementia
- Purple is for those who have lost someone to the disease.
- Yellow represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for a person living with Alzheimer’s.
- Orange is for those who support the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementia.
