What I Study: The research I conducted this year was on political inequality in the media. I analyzed how political inequality affects society and how the media perpetuates myths about it. I chose political inequality because it is a relatively untouched research area. What caught my attention was learning that it affects society in significant ways, such as limiting peoples access to resources and increasing gender and economic inequality.
Why I do research: I love asking questions and finding answers to those questions. Research allows me to observe human behavior and learn why people behave the way they do. I do research because it allows me to satisfy my passion for learning with the guidance of my professors who are always more than willing to help me learn and grow.
