Why Maker Lab? The Maker Lab is a place on the ACU campus where students, faculty, and staff give form to their ideas. The significant opportunity the Maker Lab brings to students is the opportunity to develop skills in ideation, design, creativity, prototyping, and collaboration that allow them to fully participate in shaping the world around them. The Maker Lab is an ideation studio and prototyping shop that reflects a broader concept called “Maker Movement”—a global sub-culture that is focused on rapid fabrication of innovative products that address personal interests and sometimes broader societal problems.
Learning Studio – create | collaborate | explore
How do we live, learn and communicate in a digital world? This question has been at the core of the Learning Studio since its inception. Over the years, we’ve gained key insights into the diverse, evolving realm of media creation, and we’ve helped empower students and faculty members of all different skill levels to harness new tools to deliver meaningful and powerful messages.
It matters to us, because we’re professional media creators ourselves. Our work has taken us all over campus, across the country and around the globe in pursuit of compelling stories relevant to our community and the world it seeks to impact.
The Adams Center
We believe that learning is a lifelong process and that those of us who teach make a commitment to continue our learning throughout our lives. The Adams Center exists to promote the lifelong learning of ACU’s faculty as they strive to integrate their faith and their discipline. The Adams Center is a gathering place for faculty to share insights, raise questions, and develop skills in a hospitable, supportive context.
