Summit 2012 Art Contest The 5th annual Student Art Contest for Summit is open. The ACU Ministry Events Office calls any current ACU student to submit their original artwork, photography, drawing, painting, or other creation to visually communicate the 2012 Summit theme. Submissions must be received digitally to summit@acu.edu by February 15, 2012. One select work will be awarded a cash prize of $100 and used to advertize the 2012 Summit.
‘Intimacy’ is the theme from Summit. The biblical story behind ‘Intimacy’ is the prophet Hosea’s experiment of desire. As a metaphor of people’s relationship with God, Hosea is led to marry a prostitute. Their strange relationship mixes faithfulness and unfaithfulness, revealing God’s faithfulness and persistent desire for intimacy with an unfaithful humanity. Student submissions should visually represent ‘intimacy.’
