Friday: Guest Speaker! Caldecott-award winning illustrator
Be sure to come hear Caldecott-award winning book illustrator Brian Floca’s presentation at 9 a.m. this Friday in the gallery! Floca is the illustrator of Locomotive (2014 Caldecott Medal winner and a New York Times bestseller), Moonshot: The Flight of Apollo 11, Lightship,The Racecar Alphabet, and many others. Floca will also be giving a talk at 5:30 this Thursday at the National Center for Children’s Illustrated Literature.
Caricature Artist needed for Beltway North Fall Carnival
Beltway has an annual Fall Carnival coming up on Halloween night and they are looking for an artist who can draw caricatures and would like earn a little extra money doing it. Please contact Tim Cox at TimCox@beltway.org about this. Unfortunately we have no other info so please email him directly.
