Please make sure you all have Tuesday, October 6th on your schedule to attend the Departmental Mandatory meeting at 4:30pm. Attendance is required. Unlike many years when similar information has been dispensed, this year we will be announcing changes to our Graphic Design class offering schedule and Fine Art sequencing. You need to have this information. You will also receive other important information about internships, events and requirements for the year.
Please make sure you attend an Advising Workshop on either Tuesday or Wednesday of next week. We will meet from 11-12 in DMC 141 for as long as you can stay. This will be a vital piece in you understanding the process and having the tools necessary to make registration as easy as possible.
MANDATORY Meeting on Tuesday, October 6th
On Tuesday, October 6th in Shore Gallery at 4:30 pm there is a mandatory meeting for all A&D students. You will be receiving a handful of new information. This is an important meeting, so mark it on your calendar!
Leah Rama’s Design in World’s Biggest Student Art Show
Adobe and Colossal Media have transformed several walls in Brooklyn, NY. ACU A&D graduate, Leah Rama is one of the top 10 winners picked to have their work painted on side of buildings. Leah’s winning designs are displayed in the two above images. More about the contest, other winners and their designs can be read here.
Weekly Announcements: 9/28/2015
Tonight at 7 PM there is a free presentation in ACU’s Shore Art Gallery by world-class photographer Ellie Hamby, who has visited over 100 countries. She has also recently made trips to Turkey, Syria, Jordan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt. Hamby was in the last group to visit ancient Palmyra in 2011 before the Syrian civil war and prior to its take-over by ISIS. If you care about the many topics associated with the Middle East, this is a presentation for you!
Please join us from 2pm-3pm THIS Thursday in DM 141, for an artist talk by Nancy Boren and Jill Maxwell for their upcoming show opening on Saturday night.

A show, Iconic Figures, hosted by Jill Maxwell and Nancy Boren will open this Saturday night. Attend the opening reception at 6:30 and receive an Art Event Credit and enjoy their beautiful work.
