There will be senior shows happening all throughout the semester. These shows are great opportunities to get your art event credits and support fellow students!
Art Activities Chapel
This semester we are going to try something a little different with chapel. We will be meeting once a month and having ACTIVITIES CHAPEL! We will do something crafty and creative and we are in need of several students who are willing to lead this up! If you are interested contact Mike Wiggins to get going.
Valentine Party & Vendor Fair: Call for Vendors
The Second Annual Valentine Party, sponsored by Los Aficionadas, will be held on February 11, 2012. Because the first Valentine Party was such a success, we are moving the event this year to the larger space of the T & P Building, located at the corner of Pine Street and North First Street in downtown Abilene.
This day long event promises to be a fun time with free refreshments for everyone to enjoy shopping. The event will be advertised on TV, Radio and newspapers. Tickets will be sold in advance an at the door for $15 each.
Vendors’ fees include a six foot-area with a table, black cloth, and two chairs. The gristration cost is $100 before January 27, 2012 and $125 of the date.

Come out to the Shore Gallery this Friday, January 20th to honor some of our seniors and all of their hard work through the years.

The Art & Design department is looking for someone to fill the Graphic Design position for Spring 2012.
Job Description
- Design Branding for Gallery Shows
- Design Weekly Chapel Posters — this would include contacting chapel speakers for titles and direction
- Design Posters for Guest Speakers
- Miscellaneous Promotional Poster
- Study Abroad and Trip Branding
Qualities Needed
- Passionate and hard working
- Reliable
- Takes criticism and instruction well
- Able to work within tight deadlines
Time Commitment
- Approximately 5-10 hours a week
