Make a calendar reminder about the opening of this senior show. It will be hosted by Vanessa Pliego, Jonathan Linares, Ncholas Wierzba, Jaden Dement & Byron Pyburn.

Mandatory Meeting!!!
Students, tomorrow at 4:30 we will have our mandatory meeting in Shore Gallery at 4:30. You are expected to be there and attendance will be taken. If you are unable to attend please email me and give me the reason so I can forward that to Mike. We have changes to the Fall schedule that you need to be aware of.

Weekly Announcements 2/5/2018
Thursday: Art Walk & ISAC awards
Head downtown on Thursday night and earn those art event credits by going to the galleries and museums downtown. The Intercollegiate Student Art Competition show will be open at the Center for Contemporary Art. Congratulations to all our students who had work selected for the show. We had 27 pieces selected from 20 students.
Friday: Senior Show
Come out and support, Daniel Tapia, Denver Gravitt, Kristal Borjas, Madi Ray & Paulina Servin at their senior exhibition, young done and baroque (round of applause on that title, see what they did there?). The show will open Friday, Feb 9th in Shore Gallery at 5:30.

Karaoke Night – Thursday, March 22nd
Go ahead and begin practicing. Faculty/Student Karaoke Night at 7pm on the 22nd. Location TBD. You do not want to miss this and we can’t have a fun night without your willingness to participate.

Art & Design Chapel – THIS Thursday!
Join us at 11 on Thursday, Feb 1, in DMC 141 for departmental chapel! Our Spring theme is Drop the Mic. We will have pairs of faculty face off about an artist or piece of art work. You asked for this and here we are! Our first battle, Art Style, will be Robert Green & Trey Shirley. Not only do you want to hear this debate, you want to hear the “walk on” songs they have picked.

Senior Exhibition THIS Friday!
Please come out on Friday at 5:30 to Shore Gallery and support our seniors, Shelby Woodard, Sydney Jones, Cynthia Quesada, and Alanna Lively in their senior exhibition, Rooted.

We only have 4 Spring chapels, once per month. Watch this space for dates an amazing new series. Think Rap Battle. Think Dance Off. Think Presidential Debate.
Shinnery Review Cover Design Competition:
ACU’s annual literary magazine, The Shinnery Review, is in need of an eye-catching cover design, and you are encouraged to create and submit your own design. Please see the attached flyer for contest details. Traditionally the design involves trees, and you are welcome to follow this tradition, but feel free branch off from this theme as well.
The artist whose design is selected will receive a $75 Amazon gift card!
