Art Walk – THIS Thursday
Enjoy Art Walk Downtown this Thursday evening. Check out what’s happening and enjoy the galleries and museums. You can visit the Grace, the NCCIL, The Center for Contemporary Art, The Jody Klotz Gallery, Studio 234 and other galleries. Look out for local businesses, musicians and artists.
BCAA Art Competition
The BCCA Regional Art Competition opens this Thursday night at Art Walk in our Downtown Gallery. Awards will also be announced at the opening.
Randy Hunt Workshop
Awesome workshop lead by Randy Hunt last Wednesday! Groups of students created posters around the theme “Make Beautiful Work,” constructed with various materials and objects.

Thursday Night at the NCCIL – Matthew Reinhart
The New York Times best-selling author and creator of Star Wars, Transformers, DC Superheroes and Cinderella engineers two new pop-up books — Lego and Frozen. A special Pop-Up Talk and Book signing with be held at the NCCIL on Thursday at 6pm.

BCAA Art Competition
The BCCA Regional Art Competition is to be hosted in the ACU Downtown Gallery. Works are to be hand delivered Friday, Nov 4 from noon to 3PM or Saturday, Nov 5 from 9-noon. That afternoon they can find out if they were accepted and, if so, there will be an Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony at Art Walk on Nov 10.

There is an entry fee but there are also cash awards and it is a great opportunity for our students to participate in a professional show.

AIGA Fall 2016 Trip-November 11th
This semester’s trip is going to be November 11th! We have a really awesome trip planned, and hope you decide to come. Lots of people have started coming on these trips, which is great, but we don’t want to overwhelm our hosts, so we are going to be limiting the trip to 20 people. Additionally we are requiring that to attend the trip you must come to our meeting on Thursday November 3rd at 4:30 (promise it won’t be more than 30 minutes).
If you are a member of AIGA and have paid your dues then you will get priority for the 20 spots so be sure you’ve filled out the form https://goo.gl/forms/d4xZv7J6iAi9f74A2. We have to get the approved absence form in this week, so you have until Thursday atnoon to fill out the trip form, and we will contact you to let you know you have a spot on the trip and remind you about the meeting!
