All ACU-owned computers are eligible to have any Adobe product installed because of our participation with the Independent Colleges and Universities of Texas (ICUT) in Adobe’s ETLA (Enterprise Term Licensing Agreement). Employees can request software for their individual ACU-owned computers by contacting the Helpdesk (x4357 or helpdesk@acu.edu). To run efficiently, the Adobe products require certain system configurations. We have worked with Adobe on streamlining the installation process and now have a more efficient way to distribute the software to ACU owned machines.

The licensing agreement also includes an optional work-at-home license, which allows employees to purchase a license for a home computer. This work-at-home option is not serviced by ACU Technology and is only available for faculty and staff.

Abilene Christian University’s Christmas Vespers performance will fill First Baptist Church Abilene with the sounds of Christmas music, poetry, and prayer. The ACU tradition will be celebrating its 8th year and is free and open to the Abilene community.

Christmas Vespers is one of ACU’s proudest holiday traditions and features more than 150 students from the A Cappella Chorus, University Chorale, Orchestra, and more. The theme for this year’s service is “Gloria” and is a wonderful reminder of the hope that this season brings. The evening will feature music appropriate to the season, along with prayer, liturgy, and poetry in an atmosphere of celebration and contemplation.

Important notice: if your department has a copy machine from Automated Copy Systems, please do not purchase toner for it.  Toner and maintenance costs are included in the cost-per-copy each month. If your Automated Copy Systems machine is out of toner please call the number listed on the id tag of your machine and give them the C-tag number (i.e. C005744). They will bring you toner for your machine free of charge. If you have any questions about toner for your copy machine, please contact Copier Management in the University Procurement Office at 2246 or e-mail your question to purchasing@acu.edu.

The Staples Open House scheduled for today, Monday (11/17) has been cancelled due to icy roads. Staples is hoping to reschedule this event soon.
