Changes to ACU’s Holiday Schedule

by   |  06.29.15  |  Announcements, Benefits

Human Resources is excited to announce an update to ACU’s Holiday Benefit and Calendar. Effective this academic year, offices will be closed on Fall Break. Classes remain in session on Labor Day so the decision was made to repurpose the Labor Day floating holiday to a closure on Fall Break. Staff are still welcome to use a vacation day on Labor Day with their supervisor’s approval.

Offices will also be closed the Friday of Spring Break. Offices should remain open Monday through Thursday of Spring Break. Staff are welcome to take additional vacation days with their supervisor’s approval.

Our thanks to Staff Senate, the Strategic Review Team (SRT) and the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) who were all consulted prior to this change.

Student Financial Services Restructuring

by   |  06.22.15  |  Announcements

The Student Financial Services office has undergone restructuring over the past several months. The SFS office has been realigned across Student Life, Enrollment Management and Financial Operations in order to better manage our investment in student financial aid and to better serve the diverse needs of our student body.

As a result of this restructuring:
 1. All financial aid counseling has been moved to the Depot. Please refer all students, parents, and student-related financial aid questions or concerns to the Depot.

2. The functions of interfacing with state and federal agencies, compliance and audits will remain with Financial Operations. For questions about compliance or financial aid regulation issues, contact Jeff Leving.

3. All financial aid will be awarded by the individuals joining Enrollment Management. This includes athletic, departmental and endowed scholarships.  For conversations regarding these types of scholarships for undergraduate students, please contact Darrell Horn.  For conversations about departmental scholarships for graduate students, please contact Mindy McCarter.

We are grateful for the ways the individuals in Student Financial Services have served our students and departments and believe that this restructuring will continue to provide excellent  service to the ACU community.
