We are excited to announce that 1881 has won the ARN People’s Choice Award for best Abilene Food Truck! We couldn’t have done it without our ACU community! As our way of saying thank-you, ACU Faculty/Staff may enjoy 1/2 off all food items during lunch tomorrow, Tuesday, 6/28. We will be set up in the center of campus near the fountain from 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m. Must show ACU Employee ID to receive discount.
The next ACU’s ‘Movies on the Hill’ will be ‘Finding Nemo’ on July 12 and ‘The Jungle Book’ Aug. 4. Movies will be shown at 8:45 p.m. on the front lawn of the Onstead-Packer Biblical Studies Building. Bring a blanket or lawn chair, and come at 7:30 p.m. if you’d like to enjoy live music and fare from local food trucks. Some employee’s web leave reports for the 5/20-6/19 payroll cycle have been inaccessible. If you are unable to access and submit your leave report, you may turn in a paper leave report instead. The deadline to turn those in to HR will be by end of day on Monday 6/27. You can either bring them by the office or fax/scan them to HR. The Women for ACU Museum will be closed beginning Friday, July 1, through Friday, July 29. During this time, food sales will also take a hiatus. The museum will reopen on Monday, August 1, and food sales will continue on Thursday, August 4.
The SRWC invites you to a come-and-go farewell reception for Dr. Kerri Hart on Friday, June 24 from 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. in the Student Recreation & Wellness Center. (Room 260A) Kerri has worked for ACU for 21 years. She recently accepted a job at Ft. Worth Christian Schools and will begin there this fall. Please come by to wish her well.
