Family First Speaker Series

Benefits Tip – 2016 Flexible Spending Account

If you have remaining funds in your 2016 flexible spending account, AND you will be on the HRA plan in 2017, you may use your Discovery Benefits card for claims incurred through 3/15/2017.

If you are moving to the HSA for 2017, you MUST use up all of your Flex funds by 12/31/16Failure to empty your Flex funds will result in not being able to use your ACU and personal contributions to your HRA until 4/1/17.

Lowe’s Savings Card

The Procurement office has partnered with Lowe’s using our buying group cooperative TCPN contract to help save money on all Lowe’s purchases for university business. With the use of the Lowe’s Pro Services Government Contract Savings Card you get 5% off every order without having to go through the commercial service desk. Carol Bailey’s Retirement Reception

Please join us for a reception honoring Carol Bailey’s 29-years of service at ACU. Carol has been an incredible asset to ACU and we hope you will come and honor her on Tuesday, November 15th, 4-5 p.m. with a special presentation at 4:30 p.m. in the Hunter Welcome Center lobby.

Social Impact Conversation Lunch

The Griggs Center for Entrepreneurship and Philanthropy will host Larry James and John Siburt of CitySquare, on Tuesday, November 15, from 11:45-1:00 at the Hunter Welcome Center for a luncheon event. The conversation will focus on non-profits, taking entrepreneurial action, and the impact of social entrepreneurship. The event will also feature Enactus, our student organization that is focused on taking entrepreneurial action for the good of others. The cost is $15 per seat, or $125 for a table seating 8. You can purchase tickets online.

Broom Colloquium: Challenging Radical Islam

The Broom Colloquium exists to increase the missional and cultural competence of all our students and the entire ACU family.
This year’s speaker, Dr. John A. Azumah, specializes in Islam and Christian-Muslim Relations.

Hudson Wade Annual 5K

The second annual Hudson Wade 5k will be held on the campus of Abilene Christian University on Saturday, November 19th at 9 a.m. The 5k will start at the Hardin Administration Building and be run on the Lunsford Trail. Registration is $20 and includes a t-shirt.  Register here.
