The Student Recreation and Wellness Center will close at 7 p.m. this Thursday, October 18th for Fall Break. It will remain closed on Friday and Saturday and will reopen at 5 p.m. on Sunday.
Have you downloaded the GPA mobile app yet? Down the the app by searching for “Group Pension Mobile” from your phones app store. You can check claims status, message customer service, view your id card and access the Wellness Portal. Some people have said the Wellness Portal is easier to navigate from the mobile app but we will let you be the judge of that.
ACU Cheer welcomes youth ages 3 – 12 to learn basic skills, cheers, stunts and jumps at their Youth Clinic on Saturday, Nov. 3rd. All youth participants will have the opportunity to perform at the ACU vs Northwestern State football game later that day! Cost of registration includes a t-shirt and a ticket to the football game. On Oct. 9, ACU Press will release Wildcat Football: Three Cheers for the Purple and White by Lance Fleming (’92). With contributions from coaches and longtime Wildcat journalists, Wildcat Football relives the proud history and the greatest moments of the sport on the Hill, from 1919 to 2018. Faculty and staff are invited to a concert on Sat., Oct. 20, 7pm, at Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 1741 Sayles Blvd., by the Classical Chorus and the Abilene Chamber Singers as they join forces to present Mass in G, composed by Franz Schubert. An orchestra and soloists combine with the two choruses to create an event that will be a rare treat in Abilene. Several other selections will be performed separately by the Classical Chorus and the Abilene Chamber Singers. Soloists will be Dr. Celeste Church, Dr. Greg Church and ACU’s own Professor Emeritus of Music, Dr. Paul Piersall.
