Benefits Tip: Wellness Deadline Sept. 30th

by   |  09.23.19  |  Announcements, Benefits

This is your final week to earn points towards your 2020 medical premiums. If you are participating in the wellness program, please be sure you have achieved your points by Monday, Sept. 30th. Login to your GPA member account (gpatpa.com) and click on the wellness tab to take you to the portal. To view your wellness points, click on My Activities at the top. To receive the full employee discount, you need to have at least 5 total points and one of those points being awarded for completing your annual exam. There is a progress bar at the bottom of the My Activities page that will show you what you have completed and received points for. If your spouse is covered on our plan, they will need to login to their GPA portal to see if they have credit for their exam. Spouses only need to have an annual exam for you to receive the spouse discount.

Please note that GPA only pulls a claims report quarterly to award credit for annual exams or preventative exams; therefore, there will be a delay in this credit appearing on the portal. If you have questions about your points, please contact GPA BeWell at 469.445.3150 or wellness@gpatpa.com.

1GEN Student Success Program

by   |  09.18.19  |  Announcements, Events

We are developing a First Generation Student Success Program on campus to provide a centralized contact/advocate for first generation students on campus. This program will provide group personal and professional development opportunities, mentorship, and community social activities to best serve this population of students.

We have begun surveying and discussing the structure of this program with students to develop a program that is truly geared to them and what they need here at ACU. We will have an interest meeting for students later this semester, and the plan is to launch this program officially with current students in the spring, and this summer with the 2020 freshman class.

For faculty and staff interested in being involved in this program as a mentor, or serving on an advisory board that meets a couple times each semester to discuss issues and challenges faced by first generation students here at ACU, please complete this survey, or email Jordan Jones at jwj16a@acu.edu. We would really like as much campus involvement as possible to make this program a success for our students.
