Love, Chartwells: ACU Dining wants to take the opportunity to show our faculty and staff that we appreciate them. Love, Chartwells is our way to connect with our ACU community, we will have our first Love Chartwell’s event on September 2nd in the Adams Center from 10:00 am – 2:00 pm. We will have a DIY coffee bar set up for folks to enjoy!

Residential Events: ACU Dining has residential events that include themed decoration, giveaways, and special menu items! In September we have two events planned, Feel the Heat & Island BBQ. Feel the Heat will be held in The Bean on September 8th from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm, and Island BBQ will be held in The Bean on September 29th 11:00 am – 2:00 pm.

Wellness Tables: Our dietitian, Elodie Howell, will have weekly wellness tables throughout each month. In September, the theme is Better Breakfast & whole grains. The tables will be held on Wednesdays from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm in The Bean.

The ACU Medical Clinic currently has Moderna vaccines in stock. CDC recommends COVID-19 primary series vaccines for everyone ages 6 months and older, and COVID-19 boosters for everyone ages 5 years and older, if eligible. If you have questions regarding your vaccination status or booster recommendations, please give us a call at 325-674-2625. You can make an appointment for your vaccine online through the medical patient portal or call our office at 325-674-2625.

Opening Assembly will be Monday, August 29, at 11 a.m. in the newly renovated Moody Coliseum. This year’s speaker is April Anthony, chair of the ACU Board of Trustees. We haven’t been able to celebrate this ceremonial start to the academic year for the past two years because of the Moody construction and the pandemic. Everyone is encouraged to attend.

Also, please plan to attend Monday Chapel in Moody Coliseum each week during the academic year.

Faculty and Staff are invited to the new Moody Coliseum for Pre-Session Wednesday, August 24, 12:15-4:30 p.m. Our time together will begin with lunch from 12:15-12:45 p.m. The meeting will include Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training led by Chief Diversity Officer Anthony Williams, a devotional time and a presentation of the Strategic Plan by Dr. Phil Schubert, president, and Dr. Robert Rhodes, provost. Annual awards will also be announced. All offices should close or operated by student employees so that Staff can attend. 

ACUPD wants to remind everyone to ensure they are registered and current with the ACU ALERT system. ACU ALERT is used by ACUPD to alert the campus community to crisis events, emergencies, or weather-related delays/closures. You can register or check your ALERT status at acu.edu/acualert. If you have questions or issues with how to update or enroll, please email acupolice@acu.edu.

You are invited to join the ACU community as it celebrates Restoration Day on Tuesday, September 6 at the Brown Library Packer Forum (6:00–8:00 pm).

Restoration Day 2002 Announcement

New student move-in is right around the corner. Residence Life invites all faculty and staff to participate in the move-in day festivities! New student move-in will take place on Tuesday, Aug. 23 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at our freshman halls and noon until 2 p.m. at our sophomore halls for transfer students. Please help us welcome our new Wildcats to campus! Student Life will be providing move-in shirts for those who volunteer. There are a limited number of shirts available, so they will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. Stop by the lower level of the campus center on Friday, Aug. 19 from 8 a.m. to noon to get a shirt!

Good news! Biometric Screening slots have been added to our last onsite screening event! If you are enrolled in ACU’s medical plan and want an easy way to earn your credit for receiving your biometric screening, please schedule an appointment for one of our on-site screenings in the Hunter Welcome Center, Reeves Conference Room, Sept. 7-8, 7:30 a.m. to noon. The easiest way to schedule your appointment is through the Mobile Health Consumer app (download it on the App Store or get the Android version on Google Play). On the left side of your app, under Resources, you will see “Biometric Screening.” Click “Schedule a Screening,” and pick a time that works best for you. You can also schedule your appointment through the Mobile Health Website.

The biometric screening can replace the lab work you normally have completed with your annual exam. You will be able to view your results within the Mobile Health Consumer wellness app. We encourage you to discuss your results with your doctor during your annual exam. If you cannot attend one of the onsite screenings, whether you are a remote employee or due to a schedule conflict, there is a form on the eHealth website to download to complete your screening with your physician. Follow the steps to schedule a screening to access the form. Please review this document for additional information. If you have any trouble downloading the Mobile Health app or scheduling your screening, contact HR at humanresources@acu.edu.

Approvers will now need to approve time through the Employee Dashboard. Please reference the following steps to approve time.

1. Navigate to your employee tab on myACU
2. Select: “Employee Dashboard – SSB9”
3. On the right hand side, select “Approve Time” or “Approve Leave Report”
4. Use the filters to select the appropriate department, pay period, and status
5. Approve time for each employee that has submitted time/leave
