Homecoming is around the corner, with a big celebration planned for Oct. 13-16. As the world continues to learn to manage COVID-19, ACU remains committed to our community’s health, safety and well-being. We’ll return to standard health protocols in Fall 2022. Individuals who are ill should stay home until they are well and follow the directives of their healthcare provider. Individuals who test positive for COVID-19 or other highly communicable diseases, including Monkeypox, should notify the Weber Medical Clinic. The Health Response Team meets regularly to monitor infection trends within our community based on data from the clinic. The ACU Coronavirus website has been updated with information regarding COVID-19 protocols for Fall 2022.
Berlin has been a vital part of the Adams Center and our campus! Swing by the Adams Center classroom on Friday, August 19th from 1:30-2:30 to wish Berlin well in his move to Dallas.
The ACU Medical Clinic is accepting appointments for Wellness Exams for ACU insured employees and spouses. As a reminder, to earn your wellness credit you must complete an annual exam and receive biometric screening for you AND your spouse (if covered) by Sept. 30, 2022, both of which the ACU MACCC can assist you with. International students are great employees and are allowed to work for ACU in most on-campus situations. If you hire an international student in your department, be sure they are cleared by HR prior to beginning their work, since their documents need to be verified. Also, please note that they are not allowed to work more than 20 hours Sunday to Saturday during the long semesters. International students are not authorized to work for any off-campus employers, such as a coach’s LLC camp or private employers, except with specific authorization. To express our appreciation for you and provide opportunities for you to rest and recharge, we have arranged for you to have membership access to the nearby properties of Refuge Ranch. This organization was founded by a fifth-generation Wildcat and former employee, Jason Groves, and his wife, Amber. It is intentionally designed to make it easy to say “yes” to reconnecting with each other, ourselves and our Creator. These short videos of Refuge Ranch in Buffalo Gap and Fort Refuge in Tuscola provide a glimpse of the array of experiences you can enjoy throughout the year with others or alone. You may have noticed that your employee tab has recently been updated. Included in this update are changes to the time reporting process. Employee timesheets and leave reports must now be completed through the employee dashboard-SSB9, accessible through your employee tab on banner web.
