Flu Clinics

The ACU Medical Clinic is partnering with the School of Nursing to offer flu shot clinics for your convenience. The clinic dates and locations are: Tuesday, Sept. 26th from 11:00a.m.-12:45p.m., outside the Student Recreation and Wellness Center entrance and 4:30-6:30p.m. in the Campus Center that same day as well as Thursday Sept. 28th from 11:00a.m.-12:45 p.m., outside the SRWC entrance. The vaccine is available at no charge to all ACU-insured employees, spouses and dependents. The flu shot is $25 for individuals without ACU insurance.

Creative U 2023 with Greg Kendall-Ball (’06)

On October 3, 2023, Creative & Academic Technology and the Brown Library will be hosting Creative U, an annual celebration of creativity and the creative process. It was born out of ACU’s commitment to fostering digital literacy and digital skills through its partnership with Adobe. This year’s Creative U keynote speaker, Greg Kendall-Ball (‘06), photo editor for The New York Times, will share his journey from theology student to photo editor during a lunchtime keynote session titled, “As you set out for Ithaka…” Later that afternoon, he will share a day in the life of a photo editor during a recent news cycle that illustrates some of the possibilities of reporting the news in today’s digital environment. Going Away Reception for Chris Ballard

Computer Administrator Access

Over the course of the next month, the ACU IT team will be rolling out a new system to manage administrator access on Faculty and Staff computers. For most actions that require administrator access, you will see a new prompt that confirms your ACU email and the action you are wanting to take. In some cases, you may need to begin an administrator session using this new tool: Admin By Request. Details on using this new system can be found at this support article. As always, if you have any questions or run into issue when using this new system, please contact the IT Support Center at 325-674-5555 or support@acu.edu.

Homecoming Payment Preparations

Are you associated with an organization, group, or club at ACU that will need to accept credit card payments for Homecoming events and products – both online and/or in-person? If so, please plan ahead and contact the Financial Operations dept. at marketplace@acu.edu OR treasury@acu.edu. We are able to provide online store or Point-of-Sale solutions to fit your needs. Please don’t wait. Normal set-up of these services, at this time of year, requires 1-2 weeks notice.

Esau McCaulley at the Anchor Point Dinner

ACU’s Summit invites you to attend the Anchor Point dinner and plenary session with noted theologian and speaker Rev. Esau McCaulley Ph.D., author of How Far to the Promised Land, on Thursday, Oct. 12 at 6 p.m. In addition to hearing from McCaulley, we will enjoy good food and a time of worship. Tickets for this event are available here. Select “Reserve a Spot,” and then select “Anchor Point Plenary Session and Dinner Only” as your ticket type. Tickets are available until Sept. 26. St. Francis Art Exhibit

“Most High” – an art exhibit honoring St. Francis with paintings by award-winning artist, Jill Maxwell, and other artists will be featured in the Brown Library. You will want to take part in the meaningful opening night reception on Friday, September 29, 5:30-6:30 p.m. featuring a short talk by Jill and hors-d’oeuvres by Beth Kellar. In addition, Randy Harris will be blessing participants’ pets on the steps of the library from 5:00-5:30 p.m.

Benefits Tip: Wellness Credits

We are no longer using the mobile health app. You can use the ehealth screenings website to view previous biometric screenings or download the biometric screening form if needed. Click here for instructions on how to do so. To see if you have received credit for your wellness exam, you can log in to your Imagine360 account to view your EOB for your wellness visit, as long as it is coded as a preventative exam, you will receive credit. ACU IT Fall Computer Auction
