Outstanding Staff Award Nominations

Each year during Pre-Session, we take the opportunity to present awards to two outstanding staff members. Please submit your nominations for this honor by filling out this form. The Senior Leadership Team will select the honorees based on nominations they receive from faculty and staffThe deadline to submit nominations is Tuesday, June 18.

Mental Health First Aid

The Betty Hardwick Center is excited to offer an upcoming Adult Mental Health First Aid class!  Below you can find the Eventbrite registration link and information regarding the upcoming class.  After registration ends, participants will be contacted with further instructions regarding MHFA Connect, which is where participants will complete a pre eval, opinions quiz, final test, course evaluation, and download their certificate.

The course is free of charge due to some grant funding.  And in case you are wondering what MHFA is, it is a course that teaches adults how to recognize signs and symptoms of a mental health challenge and provides skills on how to provide initial assistance until professional help is achieved or the crisis resolves.

  • It will be held in person from 8am-5pm at the Betty Hardwick Center

Schedule your wellness appointment today

Hey Wildcats, now is a great time to schedule your wellness appointment for you and your dependent(s) to receive your insurance credit for the upcoming year. The ACU Medical Clinic offers the convenience of getting your annual exam AND biometric screening completed in one visit! The deadline to complete both requirements is now JULY 31st, so schedule your appointment before it is too late! The ACU Medical Clinic is open Monday-Thursday, 9 AM- 1 PM this Summer. TIAA Consultant on Campus

A consultant from TIAA will be offering individual counseling sessions on campus to discuss your personal financial situation and retirement investments on June 11 and 12 in the Hardin Administration building Legal Conference Room-ADM 112. Benefits Tip: Employee Assistance Program

You and your covered dependents have access to The Standard’s Employee Assistance Program (EAP). This confidential service offers free over-the-phone counseling any time, day or night, to help you with a variety of personal situations. The EAP also provides up to 3 counseling sessions for both you and your covered dependents, either in person or over the phone. Counselors can help with concerns such as emotional well-being and health, relationships, parenting and addiction. Save the Date: Tish Harrison Warren

The ACU Faulkner Center for Marriage and Family is pleased to announce our fall speaker, Tish Harrison Warren. Tish is the author of Liturgy of the Ordinary: Sacred Practices in Everyday Life (Christianity Today’s 2018 Book of the Year) and Prayer in the Night: For Those Who Work, or Watch, or Weep (Christianity Today’s 2022 Book of the Year and the 2022 ECPA Christian Book of the Year). Recently, Tish wrote a weekly newsletter for The New York Times and was a columnist for Christianity Today. Her articles and essays have appeared in Religion News Service, Christianity Today, Comment Magazine, The Point Magazine, and The New York Times. Please save the date for September 19th, 2024 at 6:30pm in the Hunter Welcome Center, when Tish will speak on, Marriage as Formation. This dinner event is sponsored by the Faulkner Center. Tickets will go on sale at a later date, so be watching for more details.

ACU Soccer Summer Kids Camps

ACU Soccer is hosting our annual summer kids soccer camps on June 3-5 and July 15-17. We are looking forward to a tremendous staff of ACU Soccer coaches, players, and other professional coaches to put on the best soccer camp in the Big Country. Our camp will run from Monday to Wednesday from 9am-12pm for boys and girls ages 4-13. This is open to kids of all abilities and experience. There will be prizes, competitions, an ACU Soccer camp shirt, and tons of fun!
