Christmas Vespers

Staff and Faculty are invited to attend Christmas Vespers for a beautiful evening of liturgy, scripture, poetry, and music for the season. The event will be held at First Baptist Church, on December 8 at 7:30pm. Admission is free!

Advent Devotional Guide

Dr. Mark Hamilton and Dr. Kelli Gibson have edited volume II of Singing with the Shepherds: Meditations and Prayers for the Season of Advent, available in both English and Spanish. This collection is a collaboration from faculty, students, alumni and friends of the Graduate School of Theology at ACU. Many thanks to Mark and Kelli who have worked to create this this resource for the ACU Community.

WACU Christmas Bake Sale

The Women for ACU will be hosting a bake sale December 5-6th! Homemade Cookies, Cakes, Candies, and Pies will be available for purchase at the ACU Museum from 10am-5:30pm both Thursday and Friday. Proceeds will benefit the work of WACU and their support of ACU students. Both cash and card will be accepted. If you would like to donate baked goods, they can be dropped off at the museum 12/4 from 3-6 pm, or 12/5 9am-12pm. For questions, contact Sheila Hilton at (325)668-5686.

CompassPro for Staff

Staff Senate wants to remind all staff of the optional CompassPro for Staff Initiative launched in October. Remember, you can share about your involvement across campus by downloading Suitable and completing activities in the CompassPro portal associated with the Community Involvement badge. If you would like more details on the initiative or how to get started, you can visit this page on the Staff Senate website. Some upcoming events you can be involved in are: -Basketball games -ACU Theatre & Music performances -All Staff Chapel Tues, Dec 17th 11AM in Chapel on the Hill + the ever-available activities such as: RightNow Media use, LinkedIn Learning completions, Sponsoring a Student Org, and more. Congratulations to D’Ann McAlister, Aliyah Ogletree, Cayden Meyer, Susan Fikes, Christopher King, Leah Andrews, and Michelle Valencia for winning prizes for their engagement with the app! Football Playoff Tickets for Faculty and Staff

For the first time in ACU’s modern Division I era, the Wildcat football team has been selected to host a playoff matchup this Saturday, Nov. 30, at 2 p.m. against Northern Arizona. Due to NCAA regulations, all playoff game attendees must purchase tickets, so faculty and staff will not be able to enter with their ID card as was the case during the regular season. Tickets are now available to purchase here, and we hope you’ll join us in rooting on the Wildcats this weekend!

With the busy traveling time among us, please keep in mind that ACU has a telemedicine option available. ACU partners with Teladoc to provide telemedicine to all employees and dependents enrolled on the medical plan. Getting sick is never convenient, but telemedicine provides more convenient, quicker access to a medical professional for common conditions. Teladoc allows members to access a doctor from your home, office, or anywhere – 24/7/365. To access Teladoc, you will visit Teladoc.com or the Teladoc app.

Sign-ups Open for the Faulkner Center Marriage Retreat

ACU faculty and staff are welcome to enter a drawing to attend the Faulkner Center’s first annual marriage retreat. The marriage retreat will be held at the beautiful Gruene Mansion Inn located in New Braunfels, Texas, on February 28th – March 2nd 2025. The ten couples drawn will pay a total of $175, which will include 2 nights at the Inn and a Saturday marriage enrichment workshop (meals are on your own). It will be a wonderful time to connect with your spouse and enjoy the lovely and relaxing surroundings. To register for the drawing, email faulknercenter@acu.edu by December 11th.
