HSU CRASE Training Invitation

by   |  08.01.22  |  Announcements, Events, Training and Development

In response to the recent tragic events occurring in Texas and around the U.S., Hardin-Simmons University will be hosting the Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) course, designed and built on the Avoid, Deny Defend (ADD) strategy developed by ALERRT in 2004. This training is available on Tuesday, August 16th 10:00 A.M – 11:30 A.M.

This training is a collaboration between both the HSU Police and Abilene Police Department. The collaboration allows this invitation to be open to local businesses, churches, and non-profits to attend the training as well. An RSVP is required in order to provide adequate seating at each session.

by   |  07.11.22  |  Announcements, Events

The Parade of Flags is a celebrated part of the Opening Assembly on the first day of classes each fall. Its absence has been felt these past two years, but we are excited to announce that it will return on August 29th! In this exciting ACU tradition, current students and/or employees are invited to carry flags representing their home states and countries. We need your help to ensure every state, territory, country, and province of the ACU family is represented in the procession. If you are interested in participating in the Parade of Flags, please reply today to the office of University Events (ext. 2632) or send a message to acuevents@groupmail.acu.edu. Be sure to include your name, email address, and the flag you would like to carry. Flags are assigned on a first-come-first-serve basis, so reach out today!
