Faculty/Staff Chapel

Join your colleagues for a special Chapel designed for faculty and staff Tuesday at 11 a.m. in Chapel on the Hill. As we wrap up the semester, this will be a chance to worship, reflect and give thanks. Dr. Cliff Barbarick, associate professor in the Department of Bible, Missions and Ministry, will speak about the importance of rest and celebration. 

Lisa McCarty Retirement Reception

You are invited to join the Office of Institutional Effectiveness as we celebrate Lisa McCarty’s 34 years of service with the university. Lisa started as a programmer in IT and then became the assistant director for institutional research. Her retirement reception will be Friday, May 20, from 2:30-4 p.m. in the east lobby of Hunter Welcome Center. Hope to see you there!

Summer Sports Camps

TIAA Consultant on Campus

A consultant from TIAA will be offering individual counseling sessions on campus to discuss your personal financial situation and retirement investments on 5/17-5/18, in the Brown Library Idea Room 2. To schedule an appointment, call 1-866-843-5640, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m.-8 p.m. (EST). You can also register for an appointment online.  Appointments fill up fast and are reserved on a first come, first served basis.

Sexual Assault Awareness Month – Denim Day, April 27

On Wednesday, April 27, ACU’s Title IX office invites you to participate in National Denim Day by wearing denim. Denim Day is a campaign to show “support to survivors by renewing our commitment to exposing harmful behaviors and attitudes surrounding sexual violence.” Read more about the origins of this campaign here. ACU Night at the Zoo

Registration closes tonight for ACU Night at the Abilene Zoo! a free evening of fun, community and attractions for ACU students, faculty, staff and their families! Join us Tuesday, April 12, from 6-9 p.m. to enjoy the zoo’s exhibits, along with free admission to the carousel, zoo train and giraffe feeding station. Concessions will also be available to purchase. The event is free but registration is required – RSVP today!

Griggs Center Venture Out Market

Come SHOP from over 35+ student entrepreneurs at the Griggs Center Venture Out Market in HWC on April 6th from 11:30am – 1:30pm. Market Hall opens at 11:30am with a gift basket raffle every 30 minutes and free totes to the first 100 customers.

14th Annual Undergraduate Research, Creativity & Innovation Festival

Please plan to join us for the 14th annual ACU Undergraduate Research, Creativity & Innovation Festival on Tuesday, April 12th, 2022, in the Hunter Welcome Center from 9:30a.m. to 4:20p.m. Undergraduate students from ACU, surrounding universities, and local high schools will present papers throughout the day; poster presentations will be from 11:30a.m. to 1:00p.m. The Top Scholars Presentations will be from 4:30p.m. to 6:00p.m. The event is open to the public, and there is no cost for the event. Senior Candlelight Sendoff, May 1

The annual Senior Candlelight Send-Off is Sunday, May 1, and we’d love for you to be there! Please plan on joining us for this special evening, and please encourage other faculty and staff members to be there, too! Line up along the sidewalk between the Money Student Recreation and Wellness Center and Beauchamp Amphitheater begins at 8 p.m., and the event starts at 8:20 p.m.
