Enrollment held its annual end of recruiting season lunch on August 27th.  The following individuals were recognized by their peers with awards.

Each year during Pre-Session, we take the opportunity to present awards to two outstanding staff members. The Senior Leadership Team will select the honorees based on nominations they receive from the campus. Please take time to nominate a member of the staff for this honor. The deadline to submit nominations is Friday, June 27th.
Please note: These awards are for staff employees only; faculty members are honored in each college.

Please join the Department of Language and Literature as we honor Dr. Chris Willerton for his distinguished career of service and dedication to Abilene Christian University. Dr. Willerton has served as a faculty member at ACU for more than 40 years. The reception will be Friday, April 25 from 3:00 to 4:30 p.m. in the Library Atrium. A special presentation will begin at 3:30 p.m.

The Department of Language and Literature invites you to a retirement reception honoring Dr. Paul Varner for his distinguished service as faculty and Scholar in Residence at ACU. The celebration will be on May 8, from 3:00-4:30 p.m. in the Adams Center classroom.

Christianity Today recently mentioned Bible professor Dr. Glenn Pemberton’s new book, “After Lament,” in the publication’s New & Noteworthy section. The book, published by Abilene Christian University Press, was also recently featured in the April issue of The Christian Chronicle.

The Honors College is pleased to announce Dr. Steven Moore as the new Director of the ACU McNair Scholars Program.  McNair provides first-generation, Pell eligible and minority students valuable preparation for graduate school.  We are thrilled to have Dr. Moore join the College and the McNair Scholars Program as we seek to serve this student population.

There will be a retirement reception honoring Peggy Degge on Wednesday, October 16, 3:00-4:00 pm, in the Library Atrium.  Peggy has served ACU and the Brown Library for 24 years in the Library’s Circulation Department.
