360-Degrees in Your Pocket is a self-paced curriculum to be used as an introduction to Mixed Reality media that can be viewed and created on any smartphone. The curriculum is designed to spark interest in the use of Mixed Reality content in the classroom while learning some skills relating to utilizing mixed reality content. The goal of this Canvas Course is to increase awareness and adoption of mixed realities teaching tools among faculty by addressing common misconceptions and demonstrating how to select and create virtual reality learning content.
This content is also available as modules from Canvas Commons to be used independently in the classroom or as an entire curriculum.

The Innovation Foundry continues to partner with faculty across the campus as we demonstrate the usefulness of Virtual Reality in the higher education classroom. Virtual Reality has long been used as a simulation for medical programs and the aerospace industry, but as systems become more affordable the Innovation Foundry has been exploring classroom applications. Join our session in the Adams Center for Teaching and Learning as we explore with some of our faculty partners how we have been using VR in the classroom.
