Reflection Questions

  1. Does the definition of wrath, “The wrath of God is God’s just judgment against sin” makes sense? Why or why not?
  2. Are there appropriate ways to talk about God’s wrath apart from God’s love? If so, how?
  3. Ephesians 4:26 instructs us, “Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger.” The same root word for anger or wrath is used here. “In your wrath, sin not.” Or, “In your outrage, sin not.” How could/should we express outrage without sinning? How do we respond to the ugliness of sin that breaks relationships with God and humans?
