Presentation Guidelines

Oral/Performance

  • Presentations will be given at one of the following session times:
    • 8:00 – 9:20 AM
    • 9:30 – 10:50 AM
    • 1:30 – 2:50 PM
    • 3:00 – 4:20 PM
    • 4:30 – 6:00 PM
  • Find the judging rubrics at this link.
  • Oral/performance presentations should be 12 minutes, providing 3 minutes for questions (total of 15 minutes).
    • You may request assistance from the ACU Speaking Center at this link as you are preparing your talk for the Festival.
    • We do not require pre-recorded video presentations this year.
    • Video submissions are permitted as supplement, but not as replacement, for live presentations.
  • All presenters should submit PowerPoint and/or MP4 files to be used during the presentation by the Friday prior to the Festival.
    • Performance artists are permitted to use performance videos but should reserve a substantial portion of presentation time for live discussion and/or performance.
  • Optional: The URCI Festival would be glad to display video of your presentation online in the Festival Archives.
      • All of your research collaborators, including mentors, must agree to make work public. You may withdraw permission at any time.
      • Presenters may submit a 2–12 minute narrated presentation video for archival viewing.
      • Presenters may also submit pdf files of slides.

Display/Poster

  • Optional: The URCI Festival would be glad to display your poster online in the Festival Archives.
    • All of your research collaborators, including mentors, must agree to make work public. You may withdraw this permission at any time.
    • Presenters may submit the poster pdf file.
    • Presenters may also submit a short 2–5 minute video introducing their poster for archival viewing.
