Brief
Develop a body of work that becomes a representation of your style, your photographic vision – your visual voice. Use conceptual thinking in the creative process, expand your visual vocabulary by experimenting with new techniques and approaches.

The primary intent of this project is to help you refine your skills and use of cameras as an instrument along with an in-depth investigation of various techniques, to enhance visual impact and memorability.

Project outcomes/objectives:
• Create a portfolio of your work.
• Improve level of communication through a better understanding and application of
concepts and photographic principles.
• Gain a better understanding of focusing and marketing your unique talent.
• Find/create a ‘signature’ in your imagery that becomes part of your style

Criteria
• Define your concepts/approaches:

  • Subject matter: content
  • Visual language (mood vs. literal vs. metaphoric), image treatment, etc.

• Minimum number of pieces: 10
• Size and output technique TBD

Calendar
Nov 08: Brief/individual discussion about concept
Nov 10 – 13: Thumbnails, sketches, initial imagery
Nov 17 – 29: More images, final selections. Initiate outputting final prints (WORK MUST BE READY BY THE WEEK AFTER THANKSGIVING)
Dec 1 – Work final details, output
Presentation: Wednesday 14, 8-9:45 a.m.
