Diane Arbus was an American photographer and writer noted for black-and-white square photographs of “deviant and marginal people.” Her found street portraits besides documenting the social, are very intriguing, depicting people of various classes, and backgrounds. Diane Arbus does an awesome job of telling an ordinary person’s story. There is something awkward and intriguing about her photos. To me, it’s not her compositions that maker her work compelling it is her subject matter of everyday people and “freaks” which made her art captivating.

Diane Arbus is not your typical photographer, and I think that is what makes her so fantastic. I may not have the same style of picture taking as her, but I can definitely appreciate her talent for finding interesting situations and taking pictures of them. The thing I love about her pictures is none of them look planned or posed, just pictures of life in the moment. Her work has a creepiness about it, but that makes it particular to her. It is definitely daring and interesting.
