Scenario 1-Jill

Occupation: Marketing

Hobbies & Interests: Aerobics, running, cooking, and interior design.

Jill is a wife and mother of two children—a boy and a girl. Her daughter, Becca, is about to turn two and is having her birthday party at the end of the week. Jill’s family and in-laws are coming in for the party so she needs to cater to the children and adults. She has some specifications to meet besides a My Little Pony cake for Becca and high end deserts for the adults; her sister is gluten intolerant so Jill needs to order a cake that will not upset this food allergy. She wonders if her favorite bakery, Mon Cheri, has a menu that meets this need. She goes online to see her options and realizes that Mon Cheri has a wide selection of icings, fillings, styles to choose as well as custom designs and a food sensitivities section. Jill is able to purchase a fun cake for the Becca and the other kids, gluten free deserts for her sister, and supply other pastries and deserts for the rest of the party guests.

Occupation: Student & Student Worker-Biology Research.

Hobbies & Interests: Reading, chess, hiking, diving, and football (soccer).

Lee is a student at the local university. He’s always studying and working it seems. He likes to get out of his dorm and the Library so he goes to Mon Cheri where he can grab breakfast or a snack on the go. The atmosphere is inviting and calm; it’s a great place to relax and read for Organic Chemistry. When he spends time with friends and his girlfriend. His girlfriend has a cello recital coming up and he wants to take her somewhere nice afterwards. He think that Mon Cheri serves nice dinners, but cannot remember. So he goes to their website to see what they serve. There are fantastic pictures of hors d’oeuvres, entrees, and deserts. He knows that breakfast and pastries are affordable, but sees that he needs to reserve dinner for special occasions for now. He goes ahead and makes a reservation on their website from his mobile phone on his way to class.
