Jan is a 27 year old tattoo artist living in Austin, TX. Jan is very interested in health and and considers herself to be a coffee snob. Jan tried Portlander Cold Brew Coffee from a friend who had bought a few bottles online. Jan thought the coffee was exceptionally delicious, so she is looking online to see if how she can get some of her own. Jan goes online to see if there are any stores that sell Portlander Coffee in the Austin area, and if not, she wants to know if she can order online herself. Jan also is interested in the owners story because she herself has made cold brew coffee in the past and a few of her friends are thinking of starting their own cold brew coffee start up.

Abby Hunt is twenty-two years old and works in Dallas, TX as an accountant. She wants to purchase clothing and accessories for her close friends as Christmas presents. She has chosen the Navajo Trading Company to make her purchases, because she feels that the store’s style will be liked by all of her friends. The store is located in Sedona, NM, so she doesn’t have time to travel there to make purchases. She starts her search by scanning the website for any good deals or sales. She is pleased to find that such sales are easy to find and scan through. She specifically wants to find a plum-colored blouse for her friend Kaitlyn. Abby is easily able to find items in this color, because the color options are boldly displayed below every item. She wants to find a necklace for another friend so she clicks on the ‘accessories’ tab. Finally she decides to purchase a gift card for her other friend, because she is picky and needs to pick out her own clothing. She uses the ‘wish list’ link to compile the assortment of items she plans to purchase. Abby is able to purchase the items online and have them shipped directly to her apartment. Since she is dealing with a bit of a time crunch, she found solace in being able to track the delivery of her items. When her friends received the gifts on Christmas they loved them, and signed up for memberships to the company website to receive updates on current sale information.

David lives with his wife and two dogs on the outskirts of Abilene, TX. He is very familiar with plumbing services having worked in the contracting business before and now in landscaping. Recently he has been having problems with his master bathroom shower and is worried there is a leak in the walls damaging the drywall. He would normally try to fix the problem himself but he has been so busy he hasn’t had the time. He contacts some of his contracting friends to see who they would recommend for a quick fix and hears back about Black Plumbing. David decides to visit their website to learn about their services. The site makes it easy for him to learn about hours of operation, find contact information and read customer testimonials. He decides to get in touch and schedule a visit.
